What we do
Four services, one philosophy
Each treatment begins with a complimentary consultation, and each design is built around your bone structure, colouring and lifestyle.

The finest hair strokes, drawn one at a time.
NanoBlading
NanoBlading builds a brow from individual hair strokes, each one mapped to the direction your own hair already grows. It is the refinement of microblading: instead of a bladed tool, a single ultra-fine needle draws each stroke, so the lines sit crisper, heal more predictably and stay finer for longer.

Soft, shaded definition with a makeup-on finish.
PowderBrows
PowderBrows build colour in fine, layered dots rather than strokes, giving a soft gradient that reads like a brow lightly filled with powder. It is the technique to choose when you want your brows to look done — defined at the tail, softer at the front, even in tone all the way through.

Your natural lip colour, restored and defined.
Lip Blush
Lip blush is a semi-permanent tint that brings back the colour lips lose over time. It softens an uneven border, balances asymmetry, and gives definition without the hard outline of a lip liner — the effect most people describe is looking well, rather than looking made up.

Definition that survives the whole day.
Permanent Eyeliner
Permanent eyeliner places pigment along the lash line, making lashes look denser and the eye look more open. It ranges from a lash enhancement — an invisible line that simply makes lashes read fuller, with no visible liner at all — through to a defined line with a soft wing.

Education
Training the next generation of artists
A hands-on foundation programme for aspiring and working artists, taught to Miba's standard of natural, client-first artistry. Dates are being finalised — join the waitlist to hear first.
Sanitation, safety and regulation
Bloodborne pathogen standards, cross-contamination control, workspace setup and Alberta's requirements for practising artists.
Skin and pigment theory
Skin anatomy, Fitzpatrick typing, undertone reading, colour theory and how pigment genuinely behaves as it heals.
Brow design and mapping
Measuring to bone structure and facial symmetry, and designing a brow that suits the client in front of you rather than a trend.
Technique — hands-on
Machine handling, depth control, stroke and shading practice on latex, then supervised work on live models.
Miba Journal

The questions we are asked most, answered properly — including the ones where the honest answer is that a treatment might not be right for you.
Choosing
What “natural” actually means in permanent makeup
Every studio promises natural results. Here is what the word has to mean in practice — in the mapping, the pigment and the healed result — and how to tell whether an artist means it.

Questions we are asked most
- Does permanent makeup hurt?
- Most clients describe it as pressure with some scratching rather than pain. A topical anaesthetic is applied before we begin and topped up during the appointment. Lips are the most sensitive area, brows the least. If you are anxious about discomfort, say so at your consultation — we can adjust pacing and numbing accordingly.
- How long does permanent makeup last?
- Typically one to three years, depending on the service, your skin type and your lifestyle. Oily skin and regular sun exposure both shorten it. Powder brows generally outlast hair-stroke work such as NanoBlading. It fades gradually and softly rather than disappearing, so you stay in control of whether to refresh it.
- What is the difference between NanoBlading and powder brows?
- NanoBlading draws individual hair strokes with an ultra-fine needle and blends into your existing brow hair, giving the most natural, textured result — it is the more precise evolution of microblading. Powder brows build soft shading for an even, filled-in finish. NanoBlading suits fine to medium density; powder brows work better on oily, sparse, mature or previously tattooed brows. Your consultation exists to work out which is genuinely right for you.
- Why is a touch-up needed?
- Skin heals unpredictably, and no first session heals perfectly evenly — that is true of every artist and every technique. The touch-up at four to six weeks is where we assess how your skin held the pigment and refine shape, colour and density. It is part of the process, not a correction of a mistake.
